Christmas Eco-Tip: Urbanthinkers.ca “makes” a tree after a tree storm

Here’s a great idea from Urbanthinkers. It’s that time of year when many of us buy a live Christmas tree. Instead of buying or cutting down a tree, why not look for boughs and branches that have fallen off the trees during storms?
Urbanthinkers found that they’ve been able to find great ‘trees’ for the last 10 years by looking in forested areas after a storm or a heavy rainfall. And it will still have that great tree scent!
Urbanthinkers is based in Vancouver, BC. Their mission is to come up with creative schemes, projects and resources focusing on child and youth leadership in sustainable transportation initiatives in schools.
Here’s another way to save trees during the holidays: print your holiday cards on recycled paper from Green Printer.
