The six finalists were chosen from a variety of industries, including Green Printer, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and Nature’s Path Foods. We would like to congratulate this year’s winner Nature’s Path Foods! BC Green Party Interim Leader Christopher Bennett presented the award at a dinner held at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC on October 20, 2007. Bennett emphasized that the award demonstrates a growing movement towards green business in BC and underlines the critical role that businesses can play in the race to solve the climate change crisis in Canada, and around the world.

“I thank each and every one of the companies who submitted nominations and look forward to the Schumacher Award becoming bigger and better in the years to come,” added Bennett. “I’m so pleased to have had the chance to help establish such an important award for British Columbia.”
